Why Extend Your Ford’s Drivetrain Breathers?
Differentials, gearboxes and transfer cases heat up while your vehicle is being driven. When hot drivetrain components are rapidly cooled during a water crossing, the pressure inside them changes. If a factory breather is submerged during this pressure change, water and other contamination can be drawn into the housing. Moving the breathers to a higher position allows them to function freely.
