Daihatsu Rocky, Rugger, Fourtrak and Feroza Diff Breather Kit
This Daihatsu diff breather extension kit is designed to suit Rocky, Rugger, Fourtrak and Feroza 4WD models manufactured from 1984 to 2007, including F70, F80 and F90 series vehicles.
The kit relocates the factory drivetrain breathers from their low positions to a higher mounting point inside the engine bay. It is available as either a two-port or four-port kit, depending on which breathers you want to extend.

Two-Port Diff Breather Kit
The two-port kit extends the front and rear differential breathers.
This kit includes:
- 1x Splash proof mounting Bracket / Breather housing
- 3x Self tapping screws
- 2x Filters/ Breathers
- 4x Hose connects
- 15 x Zip Ties
- 6m Of 10mm Hose (Enough to do most trucks)
- Fitting advice is included with this kit.
This option is suitable when you only need to relocate the two differential breathers.
Four-Port Drivetrain Breather Kit
The four-port kit extends the front and rear differential breathers, gearbox breather and transfer-case breather.
This kit includes:
- 1x Splash proof mounting Bracket / Breather housing
- 3x Self tapping screws
- 4x Filters / Breathers
- 8x Hose connects
- 20 x Zip Ties
- 8m Of 10mm Hose (Enough to do most trucks)
- Fitting advice is included with this kit
Choose this option when you want to extend the main differential, gearbox and transfer-case breathers.
Why Extend the Breathers on Your Daihatsu?
Differentials, gearboxes and transfer cases become warm while your Daihatsu 4wd is being driven. Entering cold water can rapidly cool these components, causing the air inside them to contract.
If a factory breather is submerged while this pressure change occurs, water, mud or grit may be drawn into the drivetrain housing.
This kit relocates the breather openings higher inside the engine bay, helping keep them away from water and contamination during river crossings, muddy tracks and wet off-road driving.
The supplied housing also helps shield the breather filters from direct splashes, dust and mud. It can be removed when cleaning is required.
Daihatsu Breather Kit Installation
Installation generally takes between one and four hours and can usually be completed using basic hand tools.
The original breathers are removed or adapted, and the supplied hose is routed from each drivetrain component to the breather housing. The housing is normally mounted high inside the engine bay, commonly near the firewall.
Keep the hose clear of:
- Exhaust components and other heat sources
- Driveshafts and moving parts
- Steering components
- Sharp edges
- Areas where the hose could become crushed or kinked
Some drivetrain housings may require drilling and tapping a thread for the supplied fittings. Check each breather location before beginning the installation.
