Breather extension kits relocate factory differential, gearbox and transfer case breathers to a higher and cleaner position on the vehicle. This helps reduce exposure to water, mud, dust and other contaminants.

Why Extend Factory Drivetrain Breathers?

Differentials and other drivetrain components heat up during normal driving. When a warm component is rapidly cooled during a water crossing, pressure inside the housing can drop.

If the original breather is submerged or positioned close to water and mud, contamination may be drawn into the drive train as the pressure equalizes. A correctly installed breather extension kit raises the breather outlets to a more protected location.

Two-port kit: Designed to extend the front and rear differential breathers.

Four-port kit: Designed to extend the front and rear differential breathers along with the gearbox and transfer case breathers.
