A breather extension kit relocates low factory drivetrain breathers to a higher and cleaner position within the vehicle. This provides additional protection when driving through water, mud, dust and other demanding off-road conditions.

Why Extend Your Holden’s Factory Breathers?

Differentials, gearboxes and transfer cases heat up during normal driving. When a warm drivetrain is suddenly cooled during a river crossing, internal pressure can change as the housing cools.

If a factory breather is positioned low on the vehicle or becomes submerged, water, mud or grit may enter the drivetrain as the pressure equalizes.

Relocating the breathers to a higher position helps reduce the risk of contamination and provides additional protection for important drivetrain oils and components.
