Installing a body lift increases the distance between the vehicle’s body and chassis, which can reduce the amount of spline contact within the factory steering shaft. A correctly fitted steering shaft extension restores the required spline engagement and helps maintain safe, reliable steering operation.

New Zealand has strict requirements for modified steering components. Flatout Offroad steering shaft extensions are machined from solid steel bar and contain no welded sections.
Each extension is supplied with high-tensile 12.9-grade fasteners and spring washers to meet applicable LVVTA certification requirements.
